Our Role in the Meter Asset Provider (MAP) Process:
As a dynamic and forward-thinking company, Integrated Power Nigeria Ltd has aligned itself with the core objectives of the MAP Regulation. We are committed to supplying, installing, and maintaining end-user meters, authorized by the Commission, to ensure that electricity customers pay for only what they consume. Our involvement in the MAP process underscores our dedication to advancing independent and competitive meter services within the electricity industry.
Under the MAP Regulation, Integrated Power Nigeria Ltd is poised to offer comprehensive solutions in meter asset provision. Our focus lies in adhering to the technical guidelines, facilitating third-party financing for meters, and ensuring a seamless amortization process over a period of 10 years. Through an open, transparent, and competitive bidding process, we guarantee the least cost of meters to electricity customers, aligning with the regulatory framework set by the Commission.
Moreover, our commitment to promoting local content is evident in our adherence to the mandate of acquiring a minimum of 30% of our metering volume from indigenous meter manufacturers. We continuously strive to support and enhance local manufacturing capacities while contributing to the growth and development of the Nigerian economy.
Integrated Power Nigeria Ltd is dedicated to fulfilling the obligations set forth by the MAP Regulation. We aim to collaborate with the eleven electricity distribution companies, assisting them in achieving their 3-year metering targets within the stipulated time frame of 120 days from the regulation’s effective date. Our performance as Meter Service Providers is governed by the Meter Asset Regulation, technical codes of the electricity industry, and meticulous Meter Services Agreements/Service Level Agreements signed with the distribution companies.
